Product details

BATOCA S5 cordless mini polisher with rotary and dual action modes

A compact cordless polisher with rotary and dual action modes, supplied with two batteries, multiple pad sizes and a carry bag for detailed paintwork and tight spaces.

The BATOCA S5 is a compact cordless polishing machine that switches between rotary and 12mm random orbital action by changing the shaft. That gives you two working styles in one tool, which is useful when you need more control over different paint correction and detailing jobs.

This version comes in the 2026 New Colourful Body Design, so it has the same core functions with a more distinctive exterior finish. The body is small and lightweight, which makes it easier to handle around badges, body lines and other awkward areas where a full-size machine can feel clumsy.

What you get in the kit

  • 2 x 12V 2.0Ah lithium-ion batteries
  • 1 x fast charger
  • 1 x straight shaft
  • 1 x eccentric shaft
  • 1 x 1 inch backing plate
  • 1 x 2 inch backing plate
  • 1 x 3 inch backing plate
  • 9 x 1 inch polishing pads
  • 9 x 2 inch polishing pads
  • 9 x 3 inch polishing pads
  • Microfibre towel, disposable gloves, hard-case tool bag and 2 wrenches

Speed control and working range

The polisher offers 6 speed settings from 2000 to 5500rpm. Lower speeds are listed for waxing and buffing, middle speeds for polishing and cleaning, and higher speeds for removing paint defects and oxidation. That range gives you room to match the tool to the task rather than running everything at one pace.

The quick-change shaft setup is intended to let you switch working style in about 5 seconds without tools. The listing also notes an important fitment point: the straight shaft accepts the 1 inch and 2 inch backing plates only, while the eccentric shaft can be used with the 1 inch, 2 inch and 3 inch backing plates.

Where the smaller heads make sense

The included 1 inch, 2 inch and 3 inch pad sizes are there for more precise work on smaller areas. The listing specifically mentions use around headlights, wheels, handlebars, trunk areas, window bezels, emblems and tyre shields, as well as other interior and exterior detail spots that are harder to reach with larger machines.

Two batteries are supplied so you can swap over when one runs down, rather than stopping mid-job. The listing states battery life can maintain 20 to 30 minutes without load, which is a useful guide for planning longer detailing sessions.

Things to check before buying

  • Make sure the 1 inch, 2 inch or 3 inch pad size suits the area you want to polish
  • Check whether you want the straight shaft or eccentric shaft for the job in hand
  • Remember that the 3 inch backing plate is not for the straight shaft
  • Review the listing carefully if you need a machine for larger panels rather than detail work

This is a compact detailing tool rather than a general-purpose workshop polisher, so it makes most sense when you want controlled polishing on smaller sections and trim-heavy areas.
