Bosch ENV6 Brake Fluid, 5L

Bosch ENV6 brake fluid, 5L for ABS and ESP-equipped vehicles

OE-quality brake fluid for vehicles with or without ABS/ESP, compatible with DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 4 HP/LV and DOT 5.1 standards.

Bosch ENV6 is an OE-quality brake fluid supplied in a 5L container, intended for vehicles with or without ABS and ESP systems. It is compatible with DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 4 HP/LV and DOT 5.1 standards, so it covers a broad range of braking system requirements.

Why it matters for brake maintenance

This fluid is described as meeting the new ISO class 7 and exceeding the listed DOT, SAE J and ISO 4925 standards in the source information. Bosch also states a dry boiling point of ≥ 270°C, which is relevant when the braking system is working hard and heat build-up becomes a concern.

The listed viscosity of ≥ 700 mm²/s is intended to support quick pressure build-up and rapid ABS and ESP activation, including in lower temperatures. Bosch also says the inhibitor components help protect ABS and ESP systems against noise, wear and corrosion.

What to check before you buy

• Confirm the brake fluid specification required by your vehicle manufacturer.
• Check whether your car calls for DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 4 HP/LV or DOT 5.1 compatibility.
• Follow the manufacturer’s service interval guidance, as Bosch notes ENV6 should be replaced every 3 years, while also advising you to observe the vehicle maker’s specification.

The 5L size is useful where a larger quantity is needed for servicing, but the right choice still depends on the vehicle and the work being carried out.
