cinqite Glass Guard hand-held glass emulsion cleaner, 100g

What it is designed to do

A hand-held glass cleaner for removing oil film, grime and water marks from car glass and other smooth glass surfaces.

This hand-held glass emulsion cleaner is aimed at the sort of glass problems that affect visibility day to day, including oil film, traffic grime, water marks and fingerprints. It is designed for car windscreens, side windows and rear-view mirrors, and the listing also describes it as suitable for other glass surfaces such as home windows, mirrors and shower enclosures.

• Helps break down stubborn haze and film on automotive glass.
• Uses a neutral formula described as suitable for glass surfaces and coating layers.
• Can be applied with a cloth or the included cleaning brush.
• Uses a press-to-dispense design for one-handed application.

Practical points for everyday use

The compact 100g bottle is easy to keep in a door pocket or glove box, which makes it handy when glass needs attention away from home. The listing says it rinses with water after wiping, so it fits into a straightforward clean-and-rinse routine rather than a complicated detailing process.

It is also described as creating a hydrophobic protective layer during cleaning, with the aim of reducing rain adhesion and glare reflection. That kind of claim is useful to note, but results can depend on the condition of the glass and how the product is applied.

Before you buy

• Best suited to glass cleaning and film removal rather than general interior detailing.
• The listing does not give vehicle-specific fitment, so check that the format suits your preferred cleaning method.
