Flexible black sealant for automotive gasket repairs

A flexible black gasket-making sealant for automotive components, with resistance to heat, cold, oils, fluids and water.

Wynn's Black Gasket Maker is a polysiloxane-based sealant supplied in a 200ml pack. It is designed to form flexible seals directly on suitable mating surfaces as an alternative to conventional gaskets.

For demanding engine and transmission areas

The sealant is stated to withstand continuous temperatures from -40°C to 232°C, with intermittent exposure up to 260°C. It resists oils, transmission fluids, antifreeze, grease and water, and is also described as suitable for exposure to smoke and hot gases.

Listed automotive applications include cylinder-head covers, oil crankcases, transmissions, water pumps and thermostats. The manufacturer also states that the formulation is safe for catalytic converters and electronic sensors.
