It is aimed at the sort of jobs that need a bit more control than a standard cloth, especially around vents, badges, rims, wheel nuts and other tight areas.

• A natural bristle brush
• A soft brush
• A fibre brush
• An ultra-soft detailing brush
• A dual-ended vent brush
• Car cleaning gel
• Microfibre towel
• Storage bag

Where the different tools are useful

The brush mix covers a range of hardness levels, so you can choose a firmer or gentler tool depending on the surface. The listing points to use on areas such as mirrors, headlights, grilles, badges, wheels, lug nuts, rims, engine bays, exhaust tips, vents, dashboards and seals around windows and roof racks.

The cleaning gel is designed to pick up dust, debris and hair from awkward interior spaces. The product information also says it is made from natural ingredients and has a pleasant fragrance.

Practical points to keep in mind

• The softer brushes are better suited to delicate surfaces where you want to avoid scratching.
• The storage bag helps keep the kit together in the glove compartment or boot.
• The gel is described as sticky rather than messy, which should make it easier to use in tight gaps.
• The listing also notes that the gel can be used around the home, although the kit is primarily presented as a car detailing set.

For shoppers who want a small, portable cleaning kit for both interior and exterior detailing tasks, this set gives you the basics in one place without needing to piece together separate tools.
