sourcing map Orange Cone Buffing Polishing Pad with 1/4 inch Shank

What the shape helps with

A tapered sponge polishing pad for reaching awkward areas on metal, plastic, ceramic and glass with a 1/4 inch drill or die grinder.

This cone-shaped sponge polishing pad is made for detail work where a flat pad struggles to reach. The tapered profile helps you work into narrow areas and uneven surfaces, which is useful around wheels, wings, bumpers and other awkward sections of a vehicle.

The pad is designed for use with 1/4 inch electric drills and die grinders. According to the listing, it can be used on metal, plastic, ceramic and glass, so it suits a range of polishing and waxing jobs beyond bodywork alone.

• The tapered cone design is aimed at tighter spots and shaped surfaces.
• The sponge construction is described as easy to clean and reusable.
• The orange finish helps it stand out in a busy tool kit.

Size and fit details

Before use

The listing advises cleaning the sponge pad before first use to remove any residual particles. After use, clean it promptly and leave it to dry in a cool place.

For shoppers comparing polishing accessories, the main point here is simple: this is a shaped sponge pad for detail polishing and waxing, not a general-purpose cutting tool. Check your drill or die grinder setup before buying to make sure the 1/4 inch shank is the right match.
