SPTA Blue Polishing Pads, 3-Piece 125mm Disc Set

SPTA blue polishing pads for 125mm backing plates

Three 125mm blue polishing pads for compounding, polishing and waxing on a compatible backing plate.

This 3-piece set is made for car polishing work on a 125 mm backing plate. The pads are described as blue polishing discs for compounding, polishing and waxing, so they suit common machine polishing tasks where you want a sponge pad that can be swapped in and out easily.

Built for regular polishing use

The pads use a high-density polyurethane sponge with even pores and a soft feel. The listing also highlights good ventilation, flexibility and tear resistance, which are useful when you are working panels and want the pad to keep its shape through repeated use.

• 3-piece set
• Made for 125 mm backing plates
• Suitable for compounding, polishing and waxing
• Velcro fastening for quick pad changes
• Grooved design to help hold excess polishing paste and abrasive

Practical details to keep in mind

The groove design is intended to help store excess polishing paste and abrasive while also improving air circulation between the paint and pad to reduce heat build-up. The lower Velcro fastening is described as helping reduce wear during polishing.

After use, clean the pad promptly if too much abrasive has built up. The listing advises against using solvents or alkaline detergents when cleaning the polishing wheel.

Check before you buy

Although the title mentions 5 inch pads, the selected size for this product is 125mm. It is best to check your backing plate size before ordering so the pad matches your machine properly.
