The flintronic 85ml RTV sealant is designed to form a gasket-style seal when exposed to air. Its stated applications include oil pans, exhaust manifolds, water pumps, timing covers, differential covers, valve covers and drive housings, as well as other sealing tasks on cars and motorcycles.

Where it can be used

• The sealant is described as suitable for metal surfaces including stainless steel, aluminium and brass, along with glass and wood.
• Once cured, the silicone forms a waterproof seal and is described as resistant to water, oil, gas and antifreeze.
• The stated operating temperature range is -62°C to 343°C.
