JENOLITE Rust Converter Liquid, 1 Litre (Pack of 1)

JENOLITE rust converter liquid for metal surfaces

A water-based rust converter for metal surfaces that turns rust into a stable, paintable finish and helps inhibit further corrosion.

This 1 litre rust converter is made to treat rust on metal surfaces and turn it into a more stable finish that’s ready for painting. It’s aimed at car rust repair, although the product details also say it can be used for metal treatment more generally.

The liquid reacts with rust and is said to convert it in around 15 minutes. Once cured, the surface turns black and can either be left as it is or painted with most water or oil based paints.

How it is applied

• Can be brushed, rolled or sprayed onto the affected area
• Water-based formulation
• Designed to work as both a rust converter and rust inhibitor

What matters for a repair job

• Helps turn rust into a stable, paintable surface
• Intended to help prevent rust returning by blocking moisture and other corrosive elements
• Coverage is stated as approximately 6 to 8 m² per litre
• Useful where you want to treat corrosion before painting rather than simply cover it up

For best results, make sure the surface is properly prepared before application and check that your chosen paint is suitable for the cured finish.
