JENOLITE Rust Converter Liquid 500 ml (Pack of 1)

JENOLITE rust converter liquid for treating rusted metal

A liquid rust converter that turns rusted metal into a stable, paintable surface and helps inhibit further corrosion.

This 500 ml bottle of JENOLITE Rust Converter Liquid is for tackling rust on metal surfaces before you repaint or leave the area protected. It reacts with rust and converts it into a stable black surface that can be left as it is or painted once cured.

The formula is water based and acts as both a rust converter and rust inhibitor. According to the listing, it can neutralise rust within around 15 minutes and is suitable for application by brush, roller or spray, depending on the area you are treating.

Why it is useful on a vehicle

• Converts rust into a stable, paintable surface
• Helps inhibit further corrosion after treatment
• Can be used as part of a car rust repair process
• Suitable for metal areas that need preparing before painting

Practical points to keep in mind

• The treated surface turns black once cured
• It can be left as is or painted with most water or oil based paints
• Coverage is listed at approximately 6 to 8 m² per litre
• Best used on rusted metal where you want to stabilise the surface rather than remove the metal itself

For any rust repair, the key is to treat the affected area properly before painting. This product is for converting rust and preparing the surface, so it is worth checking the condition of the metal and the paint system you plan to use afterwards.
